Stephanie’s career began 18 years ago after earning her BFA in interior design from Cazenovia College. After graduation, she moved back to her hometown of Buffalo, New York and worked for various architecture and design firms. There she focused on designing corporate, multi-family and higher education projects.
Stephanie decided the next step in advancing her career was to move to Charlotte, North Carolina, where the construction industry was flourishing. Eventually, Stephanie’s professional relationships led her to Bonitz Flooring Group, where she could combine her design skillset with her love for building relationships. In her first year with Bonitz in 2011, she was awarded with the company’s “Rookie of the Year” achievement.
One highlight of her career includes being selected as one of the design professionals that influenced pattern development and textile design in a Mannington Commercial “Design Local” carpet collection. Most recently, Stephanie was recognized by Floor Focus Magazine as one of the top 10 future young leaders among floor covering dealers in the United States, a career highlight for her. During your career at Bonitz, Stephanie has been dedicated to growing a high level of trust among the design community by serving as a knowledgeable, unbiased flooring resource.
Katie’s passion for interior design and building relationships spans over her 14 years of experience in the architecture & design community. After graduating from her beloved alma mater, Meredith College, she began her career working at an architecture firm where she focused on designing corporate, multi-family and hospitality spaces for nearly 10 years. There she realized her love for utilizing creativity and problem solving in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
During her years as a designer, Katie earned her NCIDQ certification and enjoyed growing her industry relationships through involvement in IIDA and serving on their Carolinas Chapter Board of Directors. Most recently, it was a tremendous honor for Katie to be recognized by her industry peers with the coveted IIDA “Star Award”, recognizing her service and commitment to building community and elevating the interior design profession!
A natural at building relationships and leveraging connections within the industry, Katie’s experience brings Bonitz dedicated strength in her role, which focuses on working closely to provide flooring design solutions to the A+D community.
Karla Towe’s career in interior design & business development has encompassed the last 13 years in and around the architecture and design community. Upon graduating from Louisiana Tech University, she began her career as a commercial furniture designer in Baton Rouge, LA. After relocating with her husband to Charleston, SC she continued her career in the commercial furniture industry and developed skills in space planning, project management and business development. After 7 years, Karla made the decision to pursue a career as a Territory Sales Manager for a multi-state commercial flooring company.
During this position, her strengths of building relationships with clients and developing future business really blossomed. Karla is an active NCIDQ certificate holder and was honored to receive the IIDA “Star Award” by her Carolina industry peers, which recognizes service and commitment to building community and elevating the interior design profession.
Karla also served for 6 years on the IIDA Carolinas Chapter Board of Directors, helping to organize statewide events and initiatives to help better recognize the design industry and strengthen its relationships within the community.
Building upon her skills developed in her prior careers, Karla is now continuing to build relationships and leveraging connections within the design community. Her strengths of organization, customer service and project management will be expanded to focus on providing flooring design solutions to the local A&D community.
With 30 years of experience, Tanya Jones has established herself as a valuable leader and industry veteran for Bonitz in the flooring industry. Tanya practiced interior design professionally as a NCIDQ certified designer for 10 years. She then bridged her knowledge and passion for design into an entrepreneurial role in flooring sales, representing a legacy carpet brand for 18 years throughout the Carolinas.
For five years of her sales career, Tanya gained management and leadership experience in multiple markets while traveling throughout the South East. During her distinguished sales career, she earned notable recognitions such as “Rookie of the Year” and one of the most distinguished awards, “Sales Person of the Year.”
At Bonitz, one of our core strengths is our experienced people, and Tanya embodies that value as an experienced industry veteran and influencer. Tanya’s rich resume in the design and flooring sales industry plays a key role in her position as a market Design and Product Specialist for Bonitz. In this role, Tanya is continually building relationships, developing product solutions and creating a unique working experience while meeting our customer’s business goals.
Tanya is a graduate of the University of Kentucky, and has been a long time active member of IIDA.
After graduating from the University of North Carolina with a BA in Interior Architecture, Crystal founded Interior Concepts and spent over 17 years growing and developing her firm through relationships with contractors and clients based on referrals and repeat business only.
Crystal transitioned from a designer into an A&D representative with Fishman Flooring covering North and South Carolina. She began learning the flooring business and had the opportunity to work with many of the Bonitz locations. When offered the position at Bonitz, she knew it was a unique and family oriented work environment.
Crystal’s ability to develop client relationships based on respect, trust, and confidence has been the key to her success as a designer. She uses these skills as she has been developing her role as Design and Product Specialist in the Triad North Carolina area.
